What do you think will happen on December 21st 2012?

With so many Ideas and Opinions surrounding 2012...
I ask the question: What do you think will happen on December 21st 2012?

Anyone who has seen Andrew
Anyone who has seen Andrew Harvey speak can agree he is an extremely passionate individual. If you are interested in "the great birth" (that may take place December 21, 2012) I recommend his book The Hope: A Guide to Sacred Activism.
"Sacred Activism is a global initiative designed to save the world from its downward spiral of greed, pain, and self-destruction, the book is an enlightening text that reflects our world today, while in turn, shapes our future
:)
Thoughts not opinions.
When I was a tiny tot living in my mother's apartment there was a poster of Kurt Russel running away from the statue of Liberty's severed head Indiana Jones style that I used to look at a lot, it was a poster for a post-apocalyptic movie which may have been the main reason I thought that I was going to live in a post-apocalyptic future. A while later my step-dad told me about the Mayan calendar and for a long time I was convinced that it was objectively significant. Essentially I thought that on December 21st 2012 (and for the time leading up to it) lots of drama was going to go down but that afterwords things would be much more ideal.
I was living in Vermont, where there aren't a whole lot of people, so the fact that most people I knew felt the same way (or just didn't care about important stuff like the future of our race enough to seriously consider it) didn't seem too significant. Since then I've traveled the US, seen a lot of different sights, perspectives and talked to a lot of different people, and my experience has been that a lot of people put a lot of faith into the significance of 2012, especially people around my age and younger (I'm 20).
Things are rarely black and white (usually shades of Grey) and I imagine there's a mix between two main reasons why people think big events will occur on and around 2012. The first is a human trait demonstrated throughout our history: We like to believe in things, and we constantly think the world is going to end soon. We don't understand ourselves or our surroundings very well at all, which is frustrating, so for a lot of people it's more appealing to just tell themselves that they know everything they need to know until they believe that. Lots of people are indoctrinated growing up to. People are often quick to believe in things that sound right to them without looking into whether or not they're legit, so if people think that the nature of our reality is mystical, and someone says "Hey! An ancient and dead race of pyramid building natives predicted the movement of constellations with total accuracy without computers, and they also predicted great change in 2012!" they might think "Great change in 2012 is going to happen."
Also, I don't really know why we always think doom is around the corner, maybe our rulers (religious of political) tell us that to make us fearful and obedient, but throughout history prophecies of doom have been pretty prevalent, but so far unfulfilled.
The second biggest reason I think people are so ready to believe that there's going to be a big change in 2012 is that people want change. That fact got our current President elected (that and how terrible our last one was). That fact can be validated by just about anyone you ask... "Hey you, do you want the world to change dramatically for the better?" The problems of the world are overwhelming to the average individual and perhaps the only way they can have hope that things are going to get better instead of worse is by believing in something mystical like the Mayan predictions.
That being said, big astrological occurrences will happen on December 21st 2012. Some kind of very rare alignment of planets and stars that I'm going to learn more about before I talk about it like I know. Like NateNow said it's also the end of the I Ching. Ancient peoples based a lot of their mystical ideas on the stars and planets, they felt that events in the heavens corresponded to events on Earth and in the individual; so an astrological occurrence like this would obviously seem very significant.
I don't know enough about 2012 and it's qualities to feel justified in saying what I think will happen, it's important to know everything you can about something before you talk like you do, but I know enough to stipulate on a few things that may happen.
The stars align, no physical change occurs, but everyone was so stoked on there being some kind of mystical transition that when it doesn't just happen rapture style they try to make a big change without really thinking it through. More likely than not this would end up bad, rulers would probably take advantage of the situation to get more power and make the world more of a slave situation. Leading up to, during and after 2012 people would be freaking out, rioting and killing themselves, all because of an old vague (and translated from another language) prophesy.
We become one: either through spiritual enlightenment or technological singularity or both there ceases to be distinction between any two things and awareness of everything being everything else transcends. It sounds boring to me, but at the same time my limited human mind can't even begin to comprehend it fully so I can't really comment on whether that would be good or bad, except to say that there would be no distinction between good and bad (since that's based on perspective) and really it would just be what it is.
We make something happen: After traveling and finding out how many people put total faith in this 2012 business I decided that it very well may end up being a self-fulfilling prophesy. Even though just about each person believes something different will go down (anything ranging from Jesus to aliens to spiritual enlightenment to universal restart) they all believe quite strongly that something big will shift. When you think that something is going to happen in the future, you prepare for it, you change your life to accommodate that change and therefore you make that change more likely to occur because you've made the circumstances more right for it (repetitive sentence I know, but it's the father of learning). Since so many people are changing their lives to invite something happening on 2012, something could happen for that reason alone.
Another thing to consider is collective consciousness. The idea that believing in something makes it true, and enough people believing is something makes it happen. The global consciousness project and the Hundredth Monkey phenomenon are often cited for evidence for this being the case but if you seriously look into them there's not a lot of valid evidence. Nevertheless, it's possible that we'll make something change with our minds alone.
There's other possibilities, but listing off everything that could happen on 2012 is really no different than listing off everything that could happen tomorrow or this time next week. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know I don't know I don't know! I can't say it enough, it's the truest thing I can say and in this case it's especially true. I don't even feel right saying which of the a fore mentioned possibilities I think are more likely because I don't know enough about the prophesy and it's related topics to make a fact based guess. I'm going to learn about the Mayans, their calandar, the I Ching, other prophesies, the stars and planets, whether their movements affect us or not, collective consciousness and whether it exists, political entities and their motivations and methods, this that and the third before I make any kind of definitive statement on the matter, which is what I think anybody who isn't an expert should do rather than running their mouth off like they know something when they don't.
What I do know though, is that I'll be at the Mayan Temples with the Rainbow Gathering feeling and giving love when whatever does or doesn't happen.
The return of
the Annunaki possibly? Many different possibilities i guess were just going to have to wait and see. didnt read all the comments above but is anyone aware of the ancient civilization of Summeria?
I agree..
Infinite possibilities,
The word "mudutu" is Sumerian for "knowledge"
Under the Category Index, click Society, then Archaic, then Sumer to browse videos related to Sumeria
Check out the About section.
The Sumerians are certainly an amazing civilization, and are attributed with the origin of many community innovations.

Think of the presidential terms
If anything, something radically will change on this date (I don't think the world will end, that's a little too extreme). It could be positive or negative, but I chose to be an optimist about it.
Consider President elect Obama...his term will be very close to an end on that date. Perhaps his slogan "change we can believe in" really does coincide with his presidential term, and with 2012.
Aquarius is around the corna!
The first previous Suns(ages) all came to a destructive end. Natural Calamities closed each chapter. First was water(flood), second fire(maybe volcanic), third earth(quake), and fourth wind(maybe storm) and the fifth is right around the corner(first four might be out of order, let me know). Also remember, this coincides with the Pisces age coming to an end! The zodiacal great house has come full circle! What do you think of that?
Posnansky's findings corroberate the fact that some God called Viracocha re-created mankind after one of those first calamities (forgot which) at the site known as Tiahuanacu on the Titikaka. And that the lost Inca city of Macchu Picchu was an abode for the Ayar brothers and their sister wives, these were supposedly the first humans that were recreated in the New World after the calamity, and the rest descended from this blood.
fucks
....
wow....it gives me a sort of can't wait to see what happens but if its really going to be that devestating then i'm gonna run to the hills and do some preparing kinda feeling....up until now i haven't really put much thought into it because the only articles i've read just say oh the earth is just gonna go through this strange cycle because this calendar predicts blah blah but now that i see there is an event that goes with it....i do believe something will happen...and i'm glad i get to witness it....
sweet!
whats that video from? whos that dude talking in front of the computers?
rolf
lmao
If by that time it is more known and more hyped up
Than logically i would say that there would be alot of sex.
i definitely
agree with you!
Wow
I believe that just like the mayans said we will no longer have to live with time in our minds. We shall ascend to a new dimension of consciousness!
The mayans beliefs
The mayan also believed that human sacrifice was necessary , jaguar was their god, and they ate human flesh. If you guys believe this will happen, go ahead and cut your heart out to sacrifice to the jaguars gods. Oh and there is a reason that they were extinct. they just sucked LOL
Well
what are your opinions on the ancient city of Tiahunaco, and other megalithic structures around the world. The ancient's possessed incredible wisdom of the planet, and you think their gone because they sucked? And we today, entering the last half of the 'Age of Oil' are any better, completely degrading this planets biodiversity and natural resources.
The Mysterious Origins of Man, addresses Tiahunaco in the last half and provides sufficient evidence, in my opinion.
For a more in-depth understanding of the Mayan Calendar, I would recommend the following video, Secrets of the Mayan Calendar Unveiled. Namaste
Cradle of American Man
Tiahuanacu is one of the single most convincing arguments of a by-gone technological civilization. When Tiahuanacu was discovered, Germany/The Reich sent over it's top scientists to survey the site, one was Arthur Posnansky (Wrote most comprehensive piece on this site, still used today by scientists).
The reason why Germany had a great interest in Tiahuanacu is contested. According to Posnansky's findings, Tiahuanacu had a link to ancient Aryans, or was somehow founded by Aryans, this would explain Germany's great interest. At the time, Germany was sending people all over the world to study ancient antiquities they thought were connected to their ancestors. Based on the survey findings, Posnansky reported Tiahuanacu was over 10,000 years old!
The Indus Valley civilization of India was founded by Indo-Europeans. This is a fact. Sanskrit is their unknown language. They were the progenitors of the Ancient India Civilization.
The only place you are going to read a copy of 'Tiahuanacu: Cradle of American Man', is in your local university library. This is an expensive book running in the hundreds of dollars!
Who were these ancient caucasians?
They just sucked?
how about some more evidence, the first part was cool, i get what your trying to say, but i would be very interested to know more way that the Mayans "sucked". Regardless of how much they sucked, their calendar is 16.4 billion years old. It dosen't end it 2012, it starts over. and there is also a Galactic Alignment occurring between that Dec. 21 winter soltice sun, earth, and the "central spiritual sun" of the milky way galaxy. Its also just about the end of the Precession of the Equinox or the Great Year, but actaully 26,000ish years. Also its the end of the I Ching
, and ancient Asian calendar. There is enough ancient evidence supporting that SOMETHING big is going to happen very soon. So regardless of what any of it is, lets all just be one, and chill and LOVE, and LEARN.
i encourge
you to watch some of the videos suggested below, vvv
hey people

Meh...
interesting article, but no show, check out these article Secrets of the Mayan Calendar Unveiled..... TimeWave Zero.... Awakening to Zero Point they all discuss, credited ancient civilizations who all claim that we shall go through a great time of change!
I Know...
we are all gonna die
Aside from
Mayan prediction, try reviewing 'Peak Oil' and assess the future of global energy, transportation, food supply. Everything seems to be in the hands of these privileged, "illuminated" elite that don't even realize themselves to be one with the infinite consciousness that is.
And the rapid awakening that will occur in the years leading up to 2012, will drastically change the global consciousness, and once we really start accepting that we are responsible for or own experience, and co-creating our realities. Consciously. consciousnessssss. And Mudutu.com is here to facilitate that movement and spread of Infinite Love. : )
thoughts
I've heard that 2012 will be some sort of great awakening... humans will develop their own individualistic thoughts towards organized religion and spirituality (no more Christianity thank god, no pun intended).
And the Mayans. Mayan documentation is recorded VERY well. The Mayans predicted solar eclipses within seconds, which is absolutely INSANE!!! I dont think anyone knows what is exactly predicted by the Mayans, but the calendar ends on December 21 2012, so maybe thats when we all will realize how damn pathetic our world is and how pathetic all us "humans" are, and perhaps we will wake up and tear each other to shreds. And have some good nuclear firing contests. Or perhaps the mayans just ran out of space on their walls.. haha
i believe that there is going
i believe that there is going to be a massive change.. lives maybe taken
I think...
The years leading up to 2012 will be very tough, ragarding both natural disasters and NWO enslavement. But, If we can survive the tough times, we will ascend to the 4th dimension in 2012.
again,
why i am excited.
I think.....
it will be heaven on earth
I think it will be
what the world has wanted it to be for the last 3600 years, and whatever that is we will find out!
I think it will be fun. I'm excited.
